SOLUTION HOMELESS PROJECT

COMMUNITY INTEGRATION

VISION

Our vision is to provide home for the homeless in our Community, to work with the Government and the Agencies of like minded to combat homelessness in this part of the Country first, to extend this to other parts of the Country and then take the same passion to other parts of the world. Solution Homeless Project shall become a household name, housing at least 100 homeless people by the year 2020.

HISTORY

Based on the words of Jesus in Matt. 25:35-36 “for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me”. Pastor Michael worked with the Salvation Army from 1999 to 2010, while his wife, Florence still works with them. Having caught this revelation from the words of Jesus and fueled by the practical demonstration of this truth by working with the Salvation Army, Pastor Michael resigned in 2010 to set up a Supported Accommodation with a Business Partner in Northfleet and Gravesend respectively.
After experiencing series of challenges with the Residents, Neighbours and the Landlord of the rented property, Pastor Michael went to God in prayer. The Holy Spirit laid it into his heart to surrender the Supported Accommodation vision to the Church he’s pastoring. After few months of talking about this in the Church, pondering and praying about this Holy Spirit instruction, a lovely Church member, Mrs Victoria spoke to Pastor Michael about the Green Pastures’ vision and passion to support the Churches who are interested in housing the homeless people. The Green Pastures were contacted and purchased our first property for us on the 19th February 2014.
This property in Northfleet, Kent is now a ‘home’ for three men. These young men have moved on from been depressed, low self-esteem, joblessness, directionless, self-pity unto good self-esteemed, working, responsible, Church attending and success driven people. By the grace of God, before the end of the year, we trust God that at least another property shall be added to this with the assistance of God and the Green Pastures.
Many thanks to the passionate Volunteers who are working tireless in Administrative, Pastoral and Maintenance aspects of the Project to make it what it is today. Finally, we give all the praises, adoration and glory to our King, Lord Jesus who confirmed His word by making this vision, the expansion and many more to still come to become realities.
